Mitroff Consulting & Associates, as a professional executive search firm, considers client’s and candidate’s privacy as a major priority. We never deviate from maintaining confidentially. We obtain very personal, proprietary information from our clients as well as prospective candidates. From candidates, it is quite common for us to receive personally identifiable information such as any and all names used, e-mail address, physical address, date of birth, social security number, educational background, driving record history, etc. We also require candidates to take our proprietary personality profiling tool. We understand the importance of confidentially maintaining and protecting this information.The use of the confidential data obtained during the course of conducting a search on behalf of our client is utilized to enhance Mitroff Consulting & Associates’ ability to maximize the career “fit” for our client as well as the candidate. We seek to make the placement of a candidate a “win-win” for all parties and the better we understand the career goals of Candidates, which includes their personal goals, the better we can perform our services.

Please note no information is disclosed to anyone, including our client, without the prior understanding and agreement from the candidate we are doing so. Our reputation is at risk – we will not break the trust of our client or that of a candidate – we are in business to serve the needs of our clients and can not successfully do so unless there is a strong basis of mutual trust among all parties.

Mitroff Consulting & Associates also collect information from our clients and others in the course of the various search services we provide, as well as by conducting research using the Internet and numerous other resources.  This data is treated no different than data obtained by other methods.

Mitroff Consulting & Associates receives unsolicited résumés as well as other information from prospective candidates.  We may contact prospective candidates from time to time to ensure the information we have collected is accurate and current. We may contact professionals from time to time to solicit names of or other information regarding potential candidates in connection with a search that we are conducting.  When a professional contacts us by e-mail through our website, we may keep a record of their contact information and correspondence, and we may use any information they provide in their message to respond to their inquiry.

We use information that we have collected concerning candidates to identify potential professional opportunities which might be of interest. We may contact potential candidates from time to time regarding such opportunities. However, no information regarding the potential candidate is forward to any other party until it is mutually agree the career opportunity is appropriate for both our client and the prospective candidate. We provide personally identifiable information regarding candidates to our clients or reference sources only if the candidate has requested or otherwise consented that we do so.   However, when conducting extensive referencing, we might contact what is generally referred to as tertiary references, prior to obtaining consent from the candidate.  This is only done when our client is prepared to present an offer and the candidate has expressed an interest in receiving an offer.

To better serve our clients and prospective candidates, we may use information that we collect concerning Candidates for purposes of developing and improving our Search Services, and for purposes of collecting and disclosing diversity statistics and other statistical information regarding our Candidates and placement activities.  However, this data is presented in an aggregate format not in an individual format, i.e., no one individual is identifiable.

Mitroff Consulting & Associates utilizes the services of selected third parties who provide services that may include, but are not necessarily limited to, assessment services, validation services, website hosting, data analysis, résumé verification, background checking and other administrative and back-up and security services. We reserve the right to share personally identifiable and other information with such third parties for the purpose of providing their services. However, disclosure of personal data is usually restricted to Candidates with whom an imminent offer of employment from our client is likely to be forth coming.

Subject to applicable law, Mitroff Consulting & Associates reserve the right to use and release any information that we have collected when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, that unlawful activity may have taken place, to enforce our other policies or published guidelines, to protect the rights, property, safety or security of Mitroff Consulting & Associates, our visitors or the public, or to respond to an emergency.   We cannot and do not assume any responsibility for the actions or omissions of third parties, such as Clients, service providers or strategic partners, including the manner in which they use information received either from Mitroff Consulting & Associates or from other independent sources.   Mitroff Consulting & Associates has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data which is under our control. Unfortunately, however, no security system, or system of transmitting data over the Internet, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personally identifiable information, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers, the means by which information is transmitted between your computer and Mitroff Consulting & Associates’ servers, or any information provided to us or to any third party through or in connection with our website.   Mitroff Consulting & Associates reserves the right to transfer, without any person’s further consent, any and all information that we collect from individuals who have visited our website and/or provided data to us via our website, or that we otherwise collect concerning our website, to a third party in connection with a strategic alliance with such third party, or in the event of a sale of our company, a merger or consolidation of our business.
